"The People’s Park festival in Halifax which is now held every year, ended in violence at the weekend. One police officer was injured, and two police cars were damaged in a fight that broke out after the festival. Fifty people were involved, and the violence lasted one hour. The Halifax evening courier gave no description of the people involved in the violence...."
