Hull NF Leafleting Session Attracts The White folk Of Hull!

On Saturday 21st March, Hull National Front members gave out leaflets in the city centre for the third time in two weeks. On both previous occasions we have gained a good response, with members of the public also taking our business cards and, in some cases, a number of copies of our leaflets to distribute themselves.

However, this time the leafleting session drew attention of a different kind. A lady who appeared to disagree with the message of our 'We want our country back' leaflet was on her phone almost immediately. Within five minutes, our two comrades were approached by two policewomen on foot, who were quickly joined by three police cars and a van. (Let us hope that, if this woman is ever a victim of crime, the police are equally quick to respond!)

After a short conversation, the police officers confirmed that -as is always the case- both the activity itself and the NF literature given out were entirely within the law. After this disruption, our members retired to a nearby pub for a short break. They placed the remaining leaflets on the bar, from where they were collected by sympathetic customers who believed the police had acted unreasonably in stopping our leafleters from going about their business even for a short while.

Over five hundred leaflets were handed out in just over an hour on Saturday as part of the Hull branch's ongoing recruitment campaign, which also includes regular door-to-door leafleting in various parts of the city.
